Responsibilities For Expert Cloud Engineer - GCP
- Implement and manage security controls and policies within the GCP environment
- Monitor and respond to security threats, incidents, and vulnerabilities
- Configure Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles, permissions, and policies
- Conduct security audits, compliance checks, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and frameworks
- Manage firewall rules, VPNs, encryption mechanisms, and secure networking practices
- Provision, configure, and maintain GCP resources
- Manage and optimize costs associated with GCP services
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams
Requirements For Expert Cloud Engineer - GCP
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 8+ years of hands-on experience managing GCP environments
- Strong knowledge of GCP security principles, IAM, VPC security, firewall configurations, and encryption
- Experience with GCP-native security tools
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or other automation languages
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills
