Senior Platform Engineer

As a Senior Platform Engineer in the Release Engineering team, you'll have a significant impact across the organization. Your role involves improving code structure, architecture, and reviewing code produced by your team. You'll be responsible for maximizing team efficiency through project planning and risk management.

Key responsibilities include simplifying the maintenance and operation of production systems, building relationships with other engineering teams, and identifying collaboration opportunities. You'll guide design and technical choices, influence the team's roadmap, and play an active role in hiring and conducting engineering interviews.

The ideal candidate should have experience in writing web-based applications, familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL, and understanding of web architecture at scale. Knowledge of NoSQL databases and key-value stores is also valuable. Deliveroo values readable, well-designed, and well-tested software.
