BIOS Software Architect

Dell Technologies is seeking a BIOS Software Architect/Senior Principal Software Engineer to join their System Architecture team in Taipei. This role is part of the Software Engineering team that delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products. The position involves working at the cutting edge of technology, designing and developing firmware for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal partners including the Chief Technology Office, System Architects, and Platform Planners to architect innovative experiences spanning firmware, software and hardware for client platforms. They will provide technical leadership when working across multiple business lines, including industrial design, marketing, usability, quality, and reliability.

Key responsibilities include creating architectural documentation, prototyping solutions, gathering business requirements, and driving product definition. The role requires balancing short-term and long-term priorities while maintaining alignment with strategic vision. The position demands expertise in UEFI architecture, BIOS development, and both ARM and x86 system architectures.
