Responsibilities For Device Mechanical Principal Engineer
- Focus on Hardware device/commodity design/architecture concepts
- Drive best in class design concept alignment between device and system engineering
- Engage with ODM on factory process with emphasis on automated assembly
- Become SME on DFMAA (Design for manufacturing Assembly and Automation)
- Engage with Device Architects on respective commodities and suppliers
- Work cross-functionally with Device, Platform teams, ODMs, and factory operations
- Capture lessons learned into future designs, RFI/RFQs, and specifications
Requirements For Device Mechanical Principal Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer mechanical engineering or related fields
- Extensive knowledge in computer hardware mechanical engineering concepts
- Solid knowledge of component/hardware device designs
- Good understanding of factory assembly/automation direction for computer industry
- Familiar with DFMA and FMEA
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English
