Responsibilities For HPC Field Engineer - Nationwide travel required
- Lead the integration of hardware and software for HPC, big data, and cloud solutions
- Provide leadership to supervise junior technicians at customer locations
- Interface directly with customer site contacts, Dell project managers, and other key stakeholders
- Identify potential risk/resolution approaches for targeted HPC deployments
- Provide pre-sales scoping assistance and SOW reviews
- Provide solution integration planning
- Contribute to improving delivery quality and optimization through best practices
- Identify corrective actions to drive resolutions for systemic issues
Requirements For HPC Field Engineer - Nationwide travel required
- US citizenship required
- Must live within close proximity to a major airport
- Undergraduate degree and 6+ years, or Graduate Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
- Linux expertise (RHEL, CentOS, Scientific Linux, SLES)
- Experience with schedulers (SGE, PBS Pro, Moab, Torque/Maui)
- Networking expertise (Cisco, PowerConnect, Force 10, Arista)
- InfiniBand expertise (Mellanox and QLogic)
- Experience with cluster management software
- Familiarity with Big Data and Cloud platforms
- Storage experience (PowerVault, DDN, GPFS, Lustre)
- Preferred: RHCE/RHCSA, CCNA, CCNP, and Network+ certifications
