Principal Quality Assurance Engineer

As a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer at Deputy, you will focus on the efficient and effective development of Deputy's product and services, ensure we release the highest quality software quickly and push the team to be world class. You will be key to driving a quality centric, rapid iteration culture. This role requires a growth mindset and a constant lookout for better ways to do things.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and owning a long term vision for quality across the organisation
• Identifying and implementing new testing paradigms
• Designing and executing comprehensive test strategies
• Architecting, building, and scaling test automation frameworks
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to influence architectural decisions
• Leading in triaging and diagnosing complex issues
• Ensuring seamless integration of tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Providing strategic insights through reporting
• Mentoring and leading engineers
• Advocating for best practices in testing, quality, and engineering processes

Required skills and experience:

• Extensive experience in modern OOP languages (PHP, JavaScript, and Golang)
• Advanced knowledge of API testing
• Deep experience with building, automating, and scaling E2E test frameworks
• Proficiency with SQL for debugging and data-driven testing
• Expertise in working with large-scale cloud-based infrastructure
