Responsibilities For Principal Software Engineer

  • Define, lead, and document long-term technical direction for engineering team scaling
  • Promote innovation, efficiency, scalability and culture of excellence
  • Serve as technical authority, providing guidance and mentorship
  • Drive standards, ways of working and platform decision-making at organizational level
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Infrastructure, Platform Quality, Product and Design teams
  • Drive discussions on new solutions, architectural choices, and emerging technologies
  • Ensure technical decisions uphold quality, performance, scalability, reliability standards
  • Implement advanced testing methodologies and CI/CD practices

Requirements For Principal Software Engineer

  • 10+ years in software development including significant leadership or principal role experience
  • Deep SaaS experience across multiple domains
  • Experience creating and implementing multi-year technical vision
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to introduce new technologies or practices to large engineering functions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with proven impact on technical projects
  • Proven ability to shape architectural strategies and drive technical innovation
  • Deep strength in at least one contemporary area of software technology (ML, search engines, or event-based architectures)
