As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Destinus, you'll join our R&D engineering team with a focus on aerospace. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience, strong applied engineering skills, and an aptitude for leading small engineering teams and projects. You'll be the focal point for leading mechanical design projects in areas such as Airframe, Propulsion, Landing gear, and flight controls through the entire design life cycle.
Your responsibilities will include leading design projects from conception to testing, generating 3D CAD models and related documentation, delivering technical documentation, participating in design reviews, managing suppliers and manufacturers, selecting standard parts and equipment, and contributing to configuration management.
We're looking for candidates with a strong background in mechanical or aerospace engineering, extensive experience in the aerospace industry, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, CAD/PLM systems, and engineering fundamentals. Knowledge of Siemens tools, experience with metallic and composite structures, and familiarity with hydraulics and fuel systems are all valuable assets.
