Development Engineer for Surface Finishing Group

Diamond Foundry Inc. is seeking an ambitious and hands-on Development Engineer for their Surface Finishing Group. This role involves investigating Lapping, Polishing, and Grinding manufacturing processes to improve diamond surface finishing technology. The position is based in the Fremont facility and requires hands-on work with manufacturing equipment, as well as design, execution, and interpretation of experiments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating and analyzing performance of Surface Finishing equipment
• Implementing R&D equipment modifications and experimental materials
• Communicating results and recommending actions
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on various challenges

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Lapping, Polishing, or Grinding
• Knowledge of related manufacturing equipment and components
• Experience in statistical data analytics and hands-on polishing setups
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team
