Responsibilities For Software Engineer I, Android

  • Work closely with product and design teams to build new application experiences for Android platform
  • Implement custom native user interfaces using modern Android Jetpack Compose
  • Focus on commercial app UI, shared UI components, accessibility features and responsive UI
  • Take ownership of technical issues and work to resolve them
  • Analyze and optimize UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance

Requirements For Software Engineer I, Android

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of object-oriented software development experience
  • Experience shipping a commercial application on Android across multiple versions and devices
  • Cross-discipline collaboration skills
  • Experience building complex applications using Java and Kotlin with the Android SDK

  • Experience building maintainable and testable code bases
