DISHER is seeking a Manufacturing/Process Engineer to join their team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This role can be either a 3-year contract or a full-time position. The engineer will focus on eliminating waste in production processes and implementing new processes. As a contractor, you'll work in a Kalamazoo plant, while full-time team members may work on various projects around west Michigan after the initial Kalamazoo assignment.

Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting new product and process introductions
- Ensuring process and product quality
- Selecting components and equipment based on specifications and requirements
- Leading capital acquisition activities
- Conducting process reviews and analyses
- Generating documentation such as PFMEA, Control Plans, and SOPs
- Performing capability studies and process validations
- Providing hands-on leadership in implementing new processes
- Training manufacturing team members
- Ensuring adherence to GMP and safety procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 4+ years of applicable work experience
- Specialization or experience in plastics or polymers
- Experience with medical devices (preferred)
- Working knowledge of PFMEA
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
- CAD experience
- Right to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship
