Description For CNC Equipment Programmer, Walt Disney World

As a CNC Programmer at Walt Disney World Resort, you will operate specialized machines that require programming knowledge to manufacture metal and plastic products. This role demands precise technical and programming skills to correctly and efficiently mill desired parts and check results for accuracy. You'll create parts and geometry from raw materials using engineering prints and documents, furnishing components for many rides and equipment. Your work will contribute to creating lasting memories for guests.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating part geometry from prints
  • Writing and producing parts within print specifications
  • Working at a consistent pace to meet or exceed performance expectations
  • Recognizing and suggesting improvements to machining methods
  • Handling cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Using additional Personal Protective Equipment as required

The role offers a competitive pay rate of $29.32 per hour in Florida, along with select benefits such as medical, financial, and other perks. You'll be part of the Walt Disney Company, a leading diversified international family entertainment and media enterprise with three core business segments: Disney Entertainment, ESPN, and Disney Experiences.

This position requires a valid driver's license, ability to read prints and engineering documents, online programming experience with equipment from manufacturers like Mazak, Okuma, or Toshiba, and the ability to set up and machine parts on CNC mills/lathes. You should have proven math skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with blueprint interpretation and CNC machine operation.
