Description For Controls Engineer

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their Scientific Systems team under Facility Services. This role combines technical expertise with the magic of Disney, focusing on maintaining and enhancing attraction control systems. The position involves working with cutting-edge automation technology while ensuring the safety and reliability of park attractions.

As a Controls Engineer, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting complex ride/show control systems, developing engineering solutions, and managing technical projects. The role requires expertise in PLC programming, industrial automation, and safety systems, making it perfect for someone who wants to apply their engineering skills in an exciting entertainment environment.

Responsibilities For Controls Engineer

  • Provide investigative and resolution support on attraction control and automation systems
  • Undertake projects to tackle attraction control systems technical obsolescence
  • Lead ride safety testing activities
  • Provide continuous improvement and enhancement of attraction control systems
  • Participate in park development/expansion projects

Requirements For Controls Engineer

Java
Python
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Eng., Electronic Eng., Mechatronic Eng., Computer Eng., Computer Science, Communication Eng., or equivalent
  • Proficient in PLC programming (IEC 61131-3 LAD, ST, C, C++)
  • Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix and/or Siemens TIA Portal, Step7
  • Proficient in integration and configuration of PLC systems
  • Experience in working with automatic machinery controls
  • Proficient in developing electrical control schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Windows OS, IT, TCP, IP network
  • Understanding of Functional Safety standards
