Description For Controls Engineer - Project Hire

Walt Disney World Resort is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their Ride Control Team for a 30-month project position. This role focuses on developing and implementing control systems for ride and show motion applications to enhance guest experiences. The ideal candidate will work on electrical and electronic systems providing motion control of ride vehicles and animation, combining technical expertise with creative solutions.

The position requires strong programming skills in PLC and C/C++, along with experience in servo control systems and safety-critical applications. You'll be responsible for developing software architecture, troubleshooting complex systems, and creating technical documentation.   • Develop software architecture and coding for Embedded Systems, Rockwell and Siemens PLCs
  • Develop and troubleshoot software and hardware on motion control VFD and servo systems
  • Develop hardware and software design documents
  • Develop safety analysis documents for critical applications
  • Translate C/C++ code to PLC software
  • Develop and troubleshoot industrial GUI interfaces
  • Develop and perform control system acceptance test plans

Requirements For Controls Engineer - Project Hire

  • Proficient in PLC programming and C/C++
