The Data Governance team plays a crucial role in ensuring data trustworthiness and compliance across the organization.
As a Data Governance Engineer, you'll be part of the Data Governance Privacy and Compliance team, working to ensure data throughout the ecosystem complies with privacy and security regulations. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong accountability, and deep understanding of large-scale cloud data platform infrastructure.
You'll work directly with analytics, data architecture, engineering, legal and security partners to build scalable solutions for complex privacy challenges. The role involves designing and implementing privacy solutions, developing monitoring systems, responding to legal inquiries, and maintaining data protection solutions.
The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies including OneTrust, Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Redshift, Airflow, DynamoDB, REDIS, Kubernetes, and Kinesis. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $109,500 - $146,800 in New York and Seattle, and $104,600 - $140,200 in Los Angeles, plus comprehensive benefits including bonus potential and long-term incentives. Responsibilities For Data Governance Engineer
- Assist in the design and lead the build out of privacy solutions to support consumer privacy rights processes
- Assist in developing monitoring to alert for operational errors and work to resolve issues
- Respond to legal inquiries for consumer data
- Supports the maintenance of data protection solutions
Requirements For Data Governance Engineer
- 3+ years of enterprise experience with data and platforms including: Provisioning/Data Capture, Big Data, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
- Subject matter expertise of consent management concepts and tools
- Proven track record and experience working with regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPPA, SOX,etc.)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and written communication skills
- Experience and comfort solving problems in an ambiguous environment where there is constant change
- Ability to think logically, communicate clearly, and be well organized
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience required
