Walt Disney Imagineering is seeking a Landscape Architect for a 30-month Project Hire position. This role involves preparing area development documentation, design documentation, and performing various technical tasks related to landscape architecture. The ideal candidate will have a BLA/BSLA degree, 2+ years of experience, and skills in digital tools like AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite. Responsibilities For Landscape Architect (PH)

  • Prepare Area Development base information documentation (e.g. site analysis, site planning)
  • Provide design documentation in the form of graphic illustration, imagery boards, color renderings, and research and documentation on assigned projects
  • Perform various basic technical tasks and documentation, including base sheets, construction details, preliminary grading, hardscape plans/sections/elevations, planting design drafting, 3D visualization, and general project coordination
  • Develop varied landscape architectural project work at all stages of assigned projects from concept, feasibility or schematic design through the preparation of construction documentation
  • Ensure that the area development intent is achieved by integrating landscape design with allied fields and components
  • Prepare specific work including, but not limited to: base sheets, hardscape, planting designs, visual intrusion studies, material schedules, etc; ensures alignment to department/divisional Standards of Practice

Requirements For Landscape Architect (PH)

  • U.S. Professional License credential
  • 2 or more years of experience in landscape architecture/design practice
  • Working knowledge and experience in the use of plant and hardscape materials and products for thematic applications
  • Demonstrated thoughtful design, artistic skills and professional judgment in solving complex area development problems
  • Skills in digital documentation/illustration tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Working knowledge/skills in AutoCAD and 3D software tools: AutoCAD 3D, Rhino, Twinmotion, Lumion
  • BLA/BSLA degree from an accredited program
