Lead Software Engineer

Disney Experiences (DX) is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their SEAS organization within Technology & Digital. This role focuses on developing high-performance, highly scalable systems for Disney Cruise Line's shoreside application team. The position involves leading a small, fast-paced development team and participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Java development, cloud technologies, and microservices architecture.

The role offers the opportunity to work on systems that directly impact guest experiences across Disney's premier vacation brands. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing high-throughput services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical direction for the technology stack. The position requires strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to manage multiple competing priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.

As part of Disney's technology team, you'll contribute to creating world-class immersive digital experiences for Disney Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, and other vacation brands. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring both architectural vision and practical implementation skills. You'll work in Celebration, Florida - a picture-perfect community founded by The Walt Disney Company, located just 25 minutes southwest of Orlando.
