Description For Lead Software Engineer - Big Data Infrastructure

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology (DEEP&T) is at the forefront of reimagining magical viewing experiences for the world's most beloved stories while transforming Disney's media business for the future. As a Lead Software Engineer in the Big Data Infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for managing critical big data services such as Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Presto, and Hive across data centers and Cloud environments.

The role involves working with distributed systems supporting large-scale data operations and thousands of physical resources. You'll focus on virtualization of big data environments, cost efficiency, resiliency, and performance optimization. The position requires expertise in building and maintaining large-scale data systems while handling varied requirements and extensive storage capabilities.

You'll be part of a team that powers worldwide advertising and distribution systems, reaching millions of consumers through platforms like Disney+, Hulu, ABC News, and ESPN.   • Experience in CICD, metrics, security and compliance enhancement
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
