At Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology (DE&ET), we're seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Commerce & Growth Experiences (CGX) Team. This role is crucial in shaping the future of Disney's streaming platforms including Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.

The position sits within the Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) organization, which is central to Disney's digital transformation. You'll be working on cutting-edge solutions to drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across our streaming and digital platforms. The CGX Team specifically focuses on innovating commerce and growth experiences through experimentation and data-informed decision-making.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing impactful features that directly influence customer experience and business success. You'll work with Java/Scala and AWS to build large-scale, highly available distributed applications. The role requires strong technical expertise combined with the ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers.

  • Leading feature development with a focus on performance and reliability
  • Executing A/B tests to optimize product experiences
