Description For Lead Software Engineer

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is at the forefront of reimagining magical viewing experiences for beloved stories while transforming Disney's media business. As part of the Living Room Devices, Roku Client Application Engineering Team, you'll help push boundaries on 10-foot devices, building Direct-to-Consumer client apps like Disney+, Star+, ESPN and Hulu. The role involves developing in BrightScript using Roku SceneGraph SDK, creating engaging UI/UX experiences, and collaborating across teams. You'll work on everything from onboarding to video playback experiences, while having opportunities to contribute to web tools and services. Responsibilities For Lead Software Engineer

  • Build client app experiences in BrightScript using Roku SceneGraph SDK
  • Develop new application features from onboarding to browse UI/UX experiences
  • Contribute to development of tools and systems including JavaScript & React-based web tools
  • Work with Roku to vet new hardware, firmware and certification requirements
  • Collaborate with SDK engineering, design engineering, and services engineering teams

Requirements For Lead Software Engineer
