Description For Lead Software Engineer (Identity)

As a Lead Software Engineer at Disney, you will spearhead an engineering squad within the Identity Engineering organization, focusing on Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) capabilities across The Walt Disney Company's major platforms including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Parks. You'll be working on high-traffic, globally replicated systems that are crucial to every user's journey at Disney properties.

The role involves leading the Security Services squad, responsible for securing consumer-facing APIs and making real-time decisions to block malicious traffic. You'll be empowered to make technical and architectural decisions, influence roadmaps, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The position offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies including JVM languages and cloud platforms, while practicing both object-oriented and functional programming.
