Description For Lead Solution Architect

Disney Experiences (DX) - Technology and Digital is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to join their Experience Access (EA) platform team. This is a crucial role that will help shape the technical direction of systems that power key guest experiences across Disney's global theme parks.

The position focuses on leading the architecture and development of platform components used in multiple international Disney properties, including Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland. The role requires deep technical expertise combined with strong communication skills, as you'll be acting as a technical ambassador to international partners.

As Lead Solution Architect, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing highly scalable software systems that manage attraction inventory, guest eligibility rules, and digital entitlements for services like Lightning Lane and Disney Premier Access. You'll work with modern technologies including Java, AWS, Docker, Spring Boot, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of progressive experience in software architecture and development, with expertise in cloud technologies and distributed systems. You should be comfortable working across multiple time zones to support global operations and have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.

This role offers the unique opportunity to work on systems that directly impact millions of guests' experiences at Disney parks worldwide. You'll be part of a team that's pushing the boundaries of technology in the entertainment industry while maintaining Disney's legendary standards for guest experience.

The position is based in Orlando, Florida, and requires occasional coordination with international teams. You'll be joining Disney Experiences, a division that brings Disney's stories and franchises to life through theme parks, resorts, cruise ships, and unique vacation experiences around the world.
