Disney Experiences (DX) - Technology and Digital, a division of the Walt Disney Company, is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to join their Experience Access (EA) platform team. This critical role will help power the magic behind products like Lightning Lane, Disney Premier Access, and Disability Access Service across global Disney properties.
The position focuses on leading and acting as an EA ambassador to international partners, including Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Shanghai Disneyland. You'll work closely with centralized EA delivery teams as their liaison in solutioning and delivery needs within the EA platform across sites.
As Lead Solution Architect, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the conception, design, development and implementation of platform components used across international Disney properties
- Driving technical analysis, effort estimation, and system design for international initiatives
- Developing highly scalable software systems using technologies like Java, AWS, Docker and Spring Boot
- Acting as technical liaison between platform teams and international partners
- Ensuring platform performance through metrics-driven development
- Providing domain expertise and production support
- Working across multiple time zones to collaborate with global teams
The ideal candidate will have:
- 7+ years of experience building scalable software systems
- Strong technical background in Java, cloud platforms, databases and web services
- Experience with performance optimization and cloud architecture
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with international teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities For Lead Solution Architect
- Lead the conception, design, development, testing, and implementation of platform components
- Lead international efforts within technical analysis, effort estimation, product and system design
- Lead the design and development of highly scalable software systems and applications
- Develop and review architecture, platform and infrastructure plans
- Lead as a technical liaison to internal platform teams
- Help ensure platform is metrics and performance driven
- Provide domain assistance to production support teams
- Work with key international partners to define requirements
Requirements For Lead Solution Architect
- 7+ years experience in design, development of highly scalable software systems
- Experience with Java, AWS, Docker, Spring Boot, NoSQL
- Experience with relational database design
- Experience with JSON messaging and web services
- Knowledge of software performance optimization
- Experience with cloud-based development and architecture
- Knowledge of traditional and agile software methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Ability to work across multiple time zones
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
