Description For Manager, Employee Comms & Engagement

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Manager of Employee Communications & Engagement to join their Corporate Internal Communications team in Burbank. This role will be instrumental in developing and executing internal communications strategies for a global workforce of 200,000+ employees. The position requires working from the office 4 days per week and offers a competitive salary range of $111,000-$152,500 plus benefits.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic communicator who can translate complex HR topics into engaging content while working closely with various stakeholders across the organization. You'll be responsible for creating and implementing communication plans, drafting content for multiple channels, and supporting HR initiatives through effective storytelling and engagement strategies.

  • Develop and implement enterprise employee communication plans
  • Research, write and draft engaging HR content for internal communication vehicles
  • Work with HR partners to draft messages, narrative, and positioning
  • Connect HR communication plans to ongoing editorial calendars
  • Track metrics and use data analytics to inform communications planning
  • Connect with segment communication peers to understand internal communication needs

Requirements For Manager, Employee Comms & Engagement

  • BA or BS required, preferably in Communications, Journalism, or Public Affairs
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or executive communications
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability in drafting and implementing communication strategies
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint/Keynote, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SalesForce
  • Detail oriented with excellent grammar skills
  • Well organized and trustworthy with high level of discretion
