Description For Manager, Global Emergency Preparedness & Response

The Global Emergency Preparedness & Response Department at The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Manager to join their team in Burbank, CA. This role sits within the Global Security Division and focuses on emergency and crisis planning and training operations for all major security and natural hazard events impacting the company. The position offers a competitive salary range of $113,800 to $152,500 per year, with additional benefits and potential bonuses.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of emergency planning experience and 3+ years of supervisory experience to lead strategic initiatives across U.S. properties. You'll be responsible for maintaining emergency response programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and managing critical facilities like the Burbank Studios' Emergency Operations Center.

Responsibilities For Manager, Global Emergency Preparedness & Response

  • Strategic oversight of U.S. TWDC properties Building Emergency Response Program
  • Implement emergency readiness programs for local teams
  • Ensure response procedures compliance with industry standards
  • Collect KPIs and prepare reports for senior leadership
  • Manage hazard specific planning initiatives for major L.A. campuses
  • Oversee employee emergency communications framework
  • Maintain Burbank Studios' Emergency Operations Center
  • Oversee Florida and NY based personnel in maintaining local EOCs
  • Facilitate corporate campuses' emergency response exercise programs
  • Manage Emergency Supply Program

Requirements For Manager, Global Emergency Preparedness & Response

  • Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Management, Public Health, Public Affairs, or related fields
  • 5+ years of emergency planning experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to work under the Incident Command System
  • Experience in Crisis Management, Emergency Management, and Disaster Preparedness
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working in a global highly matrixed organization
