Description For Manager-Software Engineering

Join Walt Disney Parks and Resorts as a Manager of Software Engineering in the Modeling, Simulation, and Training Tools (MST) team within Global Engineering & Technology. This role combines technical leadership with team management, requiring someone who can both guide engineering projects and develop talent. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team working on state-of-the-art simulation and digital design tools, supporting various Disney divisions including Walt Disney Imagineering, Park Operations, and Entertainment.

The position involves spending 25-50% of time on management duties while providing technical expertise on projects. You'll be responsible for developing roadmaps for new technologies, managing resources and budgets, and building relationships across Disney's various departments. The role requires strong leadership skills to mentor team members, handle conflict resolution, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

Key technical aspects include overseeing software development, systems integration, and simulation projects. You'll work with various technologies including software development environments, mathematical modeling tools, and simulation systems.
