Manager, Software Engineering

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a motivated Engineering Manager to lead their User Foundations platform powering Disney Streaming apps (Disney+, Hulu and Star+). The User Foundations team is responsible for critical User Capabilities shared across all streaming services, implementing reliable, high-throughput services and pipelines for gathering user information and delivering personalized experiences. The team operates in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities include leading the design and development of stateful microservices, managing team performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring platform reliability and scalability. The role requires expertise in Java, AWS, and various database technologies, along with experience in performance tuning and maintaining critical-path software.
