Manager, Software Engineering – Media and Playback Data Processing

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology (DE&E Technology) is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to join their Media and Session Data team. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers Disney's media, advertising, and distribution businesses. The position focuses on processing media consumption data to improve products across the DEET Portfolio, enabling better content performance measurement, advertising effectiveness, content discovery, fraud detection, and user journey tracking.

The role requires leading engineering teams in designing and implementing scalable data warehousing solutions and ETL pipelines. The tech stack primarily includes AWS, Databricks, Airflow, and Spark, with programming in Scala and Java. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering and team management, with strong technical skills in cloud environments and big data technologies.

The role comes with competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $175,800 - $235,700, plus potential bonuses and long-term incentives.
