Disney Cruise Line is seeking an experienced Marine Operations professional to join their growing team as a Marine, Ports and Itinerary Planning Manager. This role is crucial in optimizing the operational efficiency of Disney's cruise operations, with responsibility for developing and implementing comprehensive itinerary plans across their fleet of six ships. The position requires a strong maritime background, with a Chief Officer Certificate of Competency being essential.

The role combines technical expertise in maritime operations with strategic planning and management responsibilities. Responsibilities For Marine, Ports and Itinerary Planning Manager

  • Lead development and implementation of comprehensive itinerary plans
  • Optimize itineraries for cost efficiency and Carbon Intensity Indicator compliance
  • Manage global maritime port operations & port services
  • Manage relationships with port agents and authorities
  • Develop fuel cost and port cost predictions
  • Support Staff Captains in itinerary deviations
  • Manage MXP itinerary and port cost management software
  • Create assessments for fuel consumption patterns
  • Implement Safety Management System policies

Requirements For Marine, Ports and Itinerary Planning Manager

  • Chief Officer Certificate of Competency Unlimited or industry equivalent
  • Deck Officer License and/or related experience in fleet operations
  • Knowledge of SOLAS Convention, COLREG, and maritime regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of ships trading areas and local regulations
  • Deep understanding of IMO regulations (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL)
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel internationally
