Description For Mechanical Engineer

Walt Disney World Resort is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Ride & Show Mechanical Engineering (R&SME) group. This role involves working on various theme park attractions including roller coasters, round rides, omni movers, water flume rides, animatronics, parade floats, and more. The position requires collaboration with other engineers, designers, and various teams while managing engineering projects from concept to completion.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for design, component specification, hazard analysis, manufacturing support, installation oversight, and testing. The role demands strong technical skills combined with excellent communication abilities to work effectively with multiple disciplines and partners. You'll apply mechanical engineering principles to create innovative solutions for theme park attractions while ensuring compliance with Disney's high standards of safety and quality.

The ideal candidate brings at least one year of experience in heavy mechanical equipment design, proficiency in engineering software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and strong analytical skills. Requirements For Mechanical Engineer

  • Proficiency using Engineering and Design software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in performing classical and computer-based engineering analysis
  • Strong communication and partnering skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices
