The role involves leading area development analysis and design for large or highly complex projects at the land level, collaborating with Creative Directors and Project Design Managers, and serving as a technical expert and mentor. Key responsibilities include implementing area development design intent, coordinating with project leads, and guiding landscape design teams. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in landscape architecture, a U.S. Professional License, and expertise in Disney resort and theme park area development. Responsibilities For Principal Landscape Architect (PH)
- Lead area development analysis and design for large or complex projects
- Collaborate with Creative Director and Project Design Manager
- Implement Area Development design intent
- Coordinate and communicate design issues with project lead
- Establish quality assurance and organization of design packages
- Guide and monitor landscape design team's work
- Serve as technical expert, role model, and mentor to junior staff
Requirements For Principal Landscape Architect (PH)
- U.S. Professional License credential
- 12+ years work experience in landscape architecture
- Minimum 5 years leading a team in production of contract documents for construction
- BLA/BSLA degree from an accredited program
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, CADD, Adobe Suite, 3D design software, and BIM
- In-depth knowledge of Disney resort and theme park Area Development history and principles
