Description For Principal Machine Learning Engineer

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join their Commerce, Growth, & Identity (CGI) team. This role will be instrumental in building systems that power all Commerce workflows within Disney Streaming, implementing reliable, high-request services that power user experiences across web, mobile, and living room devices.

The position offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of Disney's media business transformation, developing and executing groundbreaking products that shape industry norms. You'll be part of a team that reaches millions of consumers through platforms like Disney+, Hulu, ABC News, and ESPN+.

As a Principal ML Engineer, you'll collaborate with distributed teams across multiple organizations, working on all aspects of the ML stack - from data analysis to model deployment. You'll help drive AI tool adoption across the commerce organization and work closely with product management to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

The role requires deep expertise in applied Machine Learning with 10+ years of experience, strong programming skills, and a proven track record of building end-to-end ML infrastructure. You'll need excellent communication skills as you'll be representing Disney streaming at conferences and mentoring senior engineers.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $202,900 to $297,900 depending on location, plus bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
