Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology (DEET) is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join their Search, Experience Management, & Images (SEMI) organization. This role will be instrumental in enhancing and supporting the Experience Platform for Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, and other streaming services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading high-level architecture, establishing coding best practices, and driving engineering initiatives that support Disney's enhanced experience curation and localization efforts. Working directly with the Sr. Engineering Manager and Engineering Managers across multiple teams, you'll be a key member of the engineering leadership team.
The role involves building tools & services that drive dynamic configuration, localization, and curation of content across Disney's major streaming platforms. Your work will directly impact the business's programming, engagement, and monetization goals. The position requires excellence in communication, multi-tasking, and context-switching across several crucial engineering domains.

The compensation package is competitive, with a base salary range of $184,300 - $258,900 (varying by location), plus potential bonuses and long-term incentives.
