Principal Software Engineer, Front End

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Front End to join their Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) organization. This role will be responsible for building innovative and cutting-edge capabilities to drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney's streaming and digital products. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of software engineering experience, advanced knowledge of Node.js, React, TypeScript, and JavaScript best practices, and strong architectural skills for building scalable systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with a distributed team of engineers across multiple organizations
• Demonstrating ownership for projects delivered by the team and department
• Designing and implementing robust, scalable, redundant platforms
• Leading through metrics – understanding application performance & costs
• Driving best engineering practices for well-constructed and maintainable code
• Challenging current architectural choices and collaborating on innovative solutions
