Description For Security Engineer - Security Assurance

At Disney, we're seeking a Security Engineer to join our Security Research & Testing (SRT) team within Disney Experience (DX). This role is crucial in protecting our vast technological infrastructure by evaluating system configurations, conducting security assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You'll be part of the Global Information Security organization that strives to secure Disney's magic across all platforms and services.

The position involves working with cutting-edge security tools and methodologies to identify vulnerabilities, analyze configurations, and recommend improvements. You'll collaborate with both technical and business teams to strengthen security policies and implement robust security measures. The role requires expertise in system hardening, cloud security, and network configuration management.

Responsibilities For Security Engineer - Security Assurance

  • Evaluate system and application configurations to identify security misconfigurations
  • Conduct compliance checks against security standards
  • Review firewall, server, and endpoint configurations
  • Analyze configurations to identify potential vulnerabilities
  • Use automated tools and scripts to detect misconfigurations
  • Perform manual and automated testing of security settings
  • Document findings and provide detailed reports
  • Communicate results to stakeholders
  • Work with IT teams to implement fixes
  • Develop and maintain security configuration baselines

Requirements For Security Engineer - Security Assurance

Linux
  • Minimum of 3+ years of related IT security testing experience
  • Experience conducting cyber security testing in large-scale environments
  • Proficient in system hardening testing for operating systems
  • Experience with Cloud Solutions (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Knowledge of network devices and their secure configurations
  • Understanding of security frameworks and standards
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
