Walt Disney World Resort is seeking a Senior Engineer-Controls to join their Planning & Sustaining Team at Reedy Creek Energy Services (RCES). This role will provide engineering oversight for over 40 square miles of utility infrastructure serving the Walt Disney Company. The position involves designing and maintaining control systems, developing strategic plans, and ensuring the reliability of utility production and distribution systems.
As a Senior Engineer-Controls, you'll be responsible for the design and implementation of control systems, working with PLCs, VFDs, and various instrumentation. You'll develop specifications, review equipment, create documentation, and serve as the in-house expert for monitoring systems and data acquisition. The role requires both technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems, along with a strong background in PLC hardware/software. You'll need to be comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and in plant settings, and be available for emergency response when needed.
