Description For Senior Facility Mechanical Engineer- Facility Asset Management(FAM)

At Disney World Resort, we're seeking a Senior Facility Mechanical Engineer to join our Facility Asset Management team in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. This role combines technical expertise with creative problem-solving to maintain and enhance our world-class facilities. You'll be responsible for supporting the entire Walt Disney World Orlando property, working on development of future year work, project oversight, and providing high-level technical support.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through design reviews, engineering calculations, and field installation support. You'll work with various mechanical systems including HVAC, boilers, pools, and kitchen systems, while collaborating with multiple stakeholders to develop comprehensive asset management strategies.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, holds a PE License, and has a proven track record of leading complex projects. You'll need strong analytical skills, proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, and the ability to perform detailed engineering calculations. Your role will be essential in maintaining the magic of Disney World through technical excellence and innovative solutions.

  • Implement tools and methodologies to streamline design reviews and engineering calculations
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment to prevent attraction downtimes
  • Review and approve job plans, drawings, specifications, and documentation packages
  • Develop comprehensive asset management strategies
  • Provide technical guidance and facilitate learning sessions
  • Cultivate relationships with external vendors and consultants
  • Participate in strategic planning and alignment with business objectives
  • Develop and maintain documentation of best practices and standards

Requirements For Senior Facility Mechanical Engineer- Facility Asset Management(FAM)

  • PE License
  • Minimum 7+ years experience in HVAC equipment design
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience leading processes and solving complex problems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit
  • Strong engineering analysis and calculation skills
