Description For Senior Manager, Events – Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line, a leader in the cruise industry since 1998, is seeking a Senior Manager of Events to lead their Singapore operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a growing fleet of cruise ships, including the upcoming Disney Adventure setting sail in 2025 as the first to home port in Singapore. The position requires a strategic events professional to orchestrate media-facing events that drive business results for Disney Cruise Line in Singapore.

The ideal candidate will manage complex, high-profile events requiring strong project management capabilities and the ability to handle multiple priorities. Working closely with internal and external partners, you'll develop impactful events that generate widespread traditional and social media coverage while aligning with business objectives.

This role reports to the Executive Director of Communications & Public Affairs APAC, Disney Experiences, and involves managing budgets ranging from tens of thousands to several million dollars. You'll be responsible for the entire event lifecycle, from creative planning to execution, while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

The position offers the opportunity to work with one of the world's most renowned entertainment companies, contributing to magical experiences that define Disney Cruise Line. You'll be part of a team expanding Disney's presence in the Asia Pacific region, with the chance to shape significant events that support the launch and ongoing operations of Disney's cruise presence in Singapore.

Responsibilities For Senior Manager, Events – Disney Cruise Line

  • Lead planning and execution of media events for DCL Singapore
  • Manage entire event lifecycle including creative planning and budget management
  • Serve as main communications point for all key stakeholders
  • Develop and manage event budgets ranging from thousands to millions of dollars
  • Lead creative sessions to develop new event concepts
  • Manage outside agency support across all facets of event management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
  • Create presentation decks for stakeholder and leadership buy-in

Requirements For Senior Manager, Events – Disney Cruise Line

  • 8+ years of special event experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Communications, Public Relations or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in managing complex events and multi-million-dollar budgets
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office or Mac OS, SAP
  • Experience working with all forms of media
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience across SEA region
