Description For Senior Network Operations Engineer (Overnight Shift)

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology (DE&E Technology) is seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to join their team for the overnight shift. This role is crucial in providing first-line support and troubleshooting for large-scale production issues as well as implementing Data Center builds. The ideal candidate will work closely with both the Network Engineering team and Systems Operations to ensure maximum uptime of services and speedy resolution of all issues.

As a Senior Network Operations Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting network infrastructure across Disney's streaming and entertainment platforms. You'll need to be well-versed in numerous networking protocols, technologies, and troubleshooting methodologies. The role involves working with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment, supporting one of the world's largest entertainment companies.

Responsibilities For Senior Network Operations Engineer (Overnight Shift)

  • Provide first line support for all network issues
  • Work with Network Engineering to implement Data Center Builds
  • Produce accurate documentation for builds and procedures
  • Perform routine hardware and software upgrades and configurations

Requirements For Senior Network Operations Engineer (Overnight Shift)

Linux
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Current CCNA or CCNP preferred
  • Experience with routing and switching technologies in datacenter networks
  • Expertise in TCP/IP protocol suite
  • Experience with routing protocols and switching technologies including PIM Multicast
  • Experience with Cisco product lines and Arista EOS
  • Strong knowledge of firewall technologies
  • Knowledge of network security practices
  • Working knowledge of Layer 3 routing protocols
  • Experience with Linux
