Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Data Capture team within the Data organization. This role is crucial in establishing and maintaining core platform frameworks and pipelines that enable engineering and analytical teams to leverage data for key business decisions.

The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies including Airflow, Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, and Snowflake to build and maintain data pipelines that support Disney's world-class streaming platforms like Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both software engineering and data engineering, with expertise in Scala and Python programming.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining strict uptime SLAs, implementing Lakehouse architecture, and developing shared libraries that abstract complex business logic. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and other engineers to drive the success of the Data Capture platform while ensuring high operational efficiency and quality.
