Description For Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology (DE&E Technology) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack to join their Product & Data Engineering team. This role will focus on full-stack application development for Disney's world-class consumer-facing products, including streaming platforms Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, and digital products & experiences across ESPN, Marvel, Disney Studios, NatGeo, and ABC News.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with full-stack application development including NodeJS and React in JavaScript / Typescript, and experience with high-test coverage delivery using unit- and front-end-test frameworks. They will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and supporting a Near-Real-Time reporting and visualization platform from API-layer outward in a high data volume environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full-stack application development using Node and React Typescript stack
  • Collaborating on architectural designs and planning for maintainability, observability, and future development concerns
  • Ensuring high operational efficiency and quality of solutions to meet SLAs and support commitment to customers
  • Being an active participant and advocate of agile/scrum practice
  • Reviewing teammate's code and pull requests for overall quality, standards alignment, and test coverage

The role offers a competitive salary range of $136,100 to $199,800 per year, depending on the location and candidate's qualifications. Additional benefits include medical, financial, and other benefits, as well as potential bonuses and long-term incentives.
