Description For Software Engineer II

DE&E division is a newly formed technology epicenter which combines Disney's tradition of bold innovation and creativity to directly deliver compelling content to hundreds of millions of people all around the world. As a Software Engineer II on the Engineering Services team, you'll be responsible for building test automation and processes to ensure the quality of advertising systems. This role involves working with complex advertising ecosystems, developing automated test frameworks, and contributing to the platform's evolution.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer II

  • Work closely with Software Engineers to understand the complex advertising ecosystem
  • Develop automated test frameworks and suites on UI, API and Integration levels
  • Participate in design discussions for platform evolution
  • Assist with triage, diagnosis, and resolution of issues
  • Contribute to end-to-end acceptance tests
  • Develop and execute manual test cases when necessary
  • Drive conversion of manual tests to automated
  • Build solutions for problems of sizeable scope and complexity
  • Technically lead and deliver multiple projects utilizing Agile methodology

Requirements For Software Engineer II

Python
JavaScript
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on software test development experience
  • Proficiency with Python or other OO language
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices and agile approaches
  • Experience building or improving test automation frameworks
  • Proficiency CICD integration and pipeline development in Jenkins, Spinnaker or other similar tools
  • Proficiency in UI automation (Selenium, Robot, Watir)
  • Experience in Gherkin (BDD/TDD)
  • B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent degree or work experience)
