Software Engineer II

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Software Engineer II for their Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) organization. This role will focus on building innovative capabilities to drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney's streaming and digital products. The position involves developing core sign-up, purchase, and subscription management experiences for the Web platform.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with product and project management to translate requirements into technical specifications
• Writing and maintaining high-quality code through test-driven development
• Contributing to code reviews, documentation, and technical investigations
• Building new features in collaboration with senior and lead engineers
• Partnering with UX to create engaging, accessible web experiences

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of experience building scalable Javascript/Typescript web applications
• A BS in computer science or equivalent work experience
• Strong understanding of web technologies and browser environments
• Experience integrating API specifications and collaborating with service teams
• Excellent front-end debugging skills
• Outstanding communication skills

Preferred qualifications include experience with React/Node.js, web accessibility, Agile environments, and strong knowledge of web standards and new technologies.
