Description For Software Engineer II

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their User Foundations team, which builds critical User Capabilities shared across Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Star+ streaming services. This role is based in Los Angeles, offering a competitive salary range of $114,900 - $154,100.

The position involves developing and maintaining scalable, high-throughput services and pipelines for gathering user information and delivering personalized experiences. You'll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where effective communication and collaboration are essential. The role requires strong programming fundamentals and experience with distributed systems.

As a member of the team, you'll participate in the full software development lifecycle - from design and implementation to testing and production support. Key responsibilities include writing code for new features, optimizing existing services, participating in code reviews, and being part of an on-call rotation for critical services serving millions of users worldwide.
