Description For Sr Manager, Software Engineering

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a passionate Engineering Manager to lead the Platform team managing Service Reliability Activities within the Commerce Growth and Identity Business Unit. This role is crucial in overseeing day-to-day operations and delivery aspects of the Site Reliability team, directly impacting subscription numbers and revenue. The position involves creating and managing critical services using multi-region architecture on AWS.

The role offers an opportunity to work with world-class consumer-facing products including Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, as well as digital products across ESPN, Marvel, Disney Studios, NatGeo, and ABC News. The team drives innovation at scale, serving millions of consumers globally across various platforms.

As an Engineering Leader, you'll be responsible for driving technical vision, leading architectural discussions, working with cross-functional teams, and growing the team through hiring and retention. The position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in site reliability engineering, and experience with cloud services.

The role offers competitive compensation based on location, with ranges from $184,300 to $270,700 per year, plus bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
