Sr Software Engineer, Frontend

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join their Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) organization. This role is crucial in building innovative capabilities that drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney's streaming and digital products including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+.

The position focuses on developing core sign-up, purchase, and subscription management experiences for Disney's web platform. As a senior engineer, you'll serve as a high-level technical resource, solving sophisticated challenges and finding opportunities to improve systems and products.

The role requires strong expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript web applications, with particular emphasis on React and Node.js development. You'll be working in a fast-paced, growing organization that values knowledge sharing and code reuse across Disney's various initiatives.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with product teams to translate requirements into technical specifications, leading by example in code quality and test-driven development, mentoring other developers, and contributing to the evolution of team practices. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience building scalable web applications and a track record of shipping production-level React/Node.js applications with high availability.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $138,900 to $203,900 depending on location (Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, or Seattle), plus bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
