Sr Software Engineer, iOS

As an iOS Senior Software Engineer focused on fantasy sports, you will be part of a diverse and talented organization focused on building and maintaining complex iOS applications for ESPN.com. You will be a member of a team creating mobile applications for the world's #1 fantasy sports products, using SwiftUI and UIKit to develop elegant solutions for new product features and core app architecture.

Key responsibilities include:

• Architecting and developing core app functionality using SwiftUI and UIKit
• Prototyping new features and researching applicable technologies
• Implementing best practices to continually increase performance and scalability
• Reviewing code and pull requests to ensure product and design specifications are met
• Working with product and project management to refine specs and timelines
• Partnering with other engineering teams to deliver best solutions
• Mentoring and providing feedback to junior engineers

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 5+ years hands-on professional development experience with iOS on all OS versions
• Strong understanding of Swift language and UIKit
• Solid understanding of iOS app development life cycle including Apple compliance policies and submissions requirements
• Experience working on a significant consumer app currently available in the app store
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design patterns and concepts
• Sound foundation in HTTP/S, APIs, and web services
• Demonstrated ability to design and build dynamic multi-threaded mobile apps
• Experience with unit test frameworks and continuous integration systems
• Experience with fantasy sports and an understanding of their game mechanics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
