Description For Sr. Technical Program Manager

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology (DE&E Technology) is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join their Media Distribution organization. This role is crucial in driving deliverables for the Media Distribution workstream and associated teams, focusing on software and technical configurations that support media stream delivery to millions of customers worldwide. The position requires hands-on management of technology activities using Agile and Scrum practices while balancing priorities and supporting engineering execution.

The role involves working with multiple technical teams and Product groups to effectively drive the building, testing, and deploying of cross-functional dependent services. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering using Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology processes, tools, and methodologies, including scope development and management of time, work-breakdown, cost, risk, and communications.

DE&E Technology provides the technological backbone and product development for Disney's media business units, helping keep the company at the forefront of innovation. The team works on groundbreaking products that shape industry norms and enhance how audiences experience sports, entertainment & news. This position offers the opportunity to work with distributed application software development, media streaming technologies, and content distribution networks.

  • Proficiency in Agile and/or Waterfall Project Management methods
  • Talent leading virtual meetings with distributed groups
