Responsibilities For Sustaining Controls Engineer

  • Respond to Attraction downtimes supporting Engineering Services
  • Develop scope for attraction reliability improvement efforts
  • Monitor downtime trends for improvement opportunities
  • Troubleshoot and communicate at system level
  • Perform ride system hazard analyses
  • Ensure compliance with standards and codes
  • Design, develop, edit, and troubleshoot PLC software code
  • Provide technical direction and lead technical projects

Requirements For Sustaining Controls Engineer

  • Bachelor of Science from ABET accredited engineering program in Electrical Engineering or related degree
  • 1+ years experience in amusement park industry or industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of electronic control systems and signal processing
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (NEC, ANSI, ASTM, IEEE, UL, ETL)
  • Proficiency with programming languages like C/C++ or Ladder Logic
  • Ability to read wiring and interconnect drawings
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
