Sr Desktop Support Engineer

DLH is seeking a Sr Desktop Support Engineer to join their team. This role is responsible for providing strong technical experience in technical solutions and support for hardware, software, and operating systems in an inter-networked environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windows Infrastructure, system administration, and various Microsoft and third-party applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and remediate issues with Windows Infrastructure and business applications
• Participate in system design, building, and installation
• Provide customer support for servers, workstations, applications, and hardware
• Manage desktop images, patches, and security updates
• Support LANDesk and IBM BigFix services
• Automate desktop solutions using VBS and PowerShell
• Assess vulnerability & patch information and provide remediation services
• Develop and maintain small software tools and custom scripts
• Troubleshoot connectivity and migration issues related to MS O365, Outlook, and cloud services

Qualifications:

• 7-12 years of experience in collaborative computing implementation and support
• Expert knowledge of desktop hardware and current protocols
• Proficiency in Windows 10 operation and Microsoft Office Products
• Expert in scripting for desktop group policy objects and account management
• Experience with Ivanti Landesk and IBM BigFix
• Strong planning, organizing, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and with minimal supervision
