Description For Outside Sales Engineer

DMG, part of the Ambient company collective, is a leading sales and distribution company in the HVAC industry with over 350 employees. We're seeking an Outside Sales Engineer for our Orange, CA office who will play a crucial role in our organization's success. This position combines technical expertise with sales acumen, requiring 5-7 years of experience in sales, manufacturing, or engineering.

The role involves direct interaction with customers, providing technical support, and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and manufacturers. The ideal candidate will have a background in HVAC/Construction, preferably with a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree, though equivalent industry experience will be considered.

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $80,000 to $150,000 annually, plus a generous commission structure. Responsibilities For Outside Sales Engineer

  • Selling DMG Distribution Products to select accounts
  • Promoting product lines and DMG name
  • Assisting customers with operational objectives
  • Providing technical support on product lines
  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Periodic travel for training, industry meetings and customer entertainment

Requirements For Outside Sales Engineer

  • 5-7 years of successful direct, outside sales experience
  • HVAC and/or Construction Experience
  • Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering Degree preferred
  • Must be extremely detailed oriented and self-motivated
  • Customer service and sales driven
  • Solid interpersonal communication skills
  • Successful negotiator
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced, multi-task environment
